My local bike shop tried to persuade me to replace my bicycle chain with a pressed in rivet to connect the 2 ends vs. I'm no expert on bike maintenance or components, but I believe this is the way to go.

By far the easiest product for removal and reinstallation. They're outliving the chains they're installed on, and hold up well - I haven't broken one yet.
